Craft Action Network

Bringing together professionals from the craft and education sectors through a national participation and learning network for support, research and advocacy.

What is the Craft Action Network (CAN)

CAN is a new people-based resource in development by the Crafts Council Participation and Learning team. As a national network for craft, it will be composed of ‘champions’ for craft education in primary and secondary schools, FE colleges, museums and galleries and other cultural and community centres with an interest in contemporary craft.

CAN will:

-Bring together professionals through inspirational seminars, practical workshops;

-Offer practice-sharing opportunities for the collation of ideas, and discussion of issues relating to craft education and its innovation;

-Engage more professional educators in innovative craft activity; and

-Advocate new research and dialogues driven by the Crafts Council.
