The five recipients of the Crafts Council's 2008 Spark Plug Awards have been announced. They are Fiona Boundy, Kate Stoddart, Paul Stone, Jeremy Theophilus and Barney Hare Duke (jointly), and Sian Weston.
Spark Plug encourages curators to research and develop exhibition concepts. Details of the winning proposals and next year's award can be found here.
Up to five awards of £5,000 will be awarded each year.

Criteria for application
The exhibition proposal must relate to an aspect of craft. Craft can include a wide range of media, but whatever the medium, craft practice is at the core of the making process.
