Spark Plug is an awards scheme, launched in July 2007, for curators to research and develop exhibition concepts over the course of a year. Now in its second year, the 2008 awards are now open for applications. Deadline for applications is 26th September 2008.

Up to five awards of £5,000 will be awarded each year.

    Criteria for application

    The exhibition proposal must relate to an aspect of craft. Craft can include a wide range of media, but whatever the medium, craft practice is at the core of the making process.
