The Crafts Council and British Council will present the exhibition Form + Motion at the UK Pavilion at the 10th Cheongju Craft Biennale.
Taking the words from a poem by British poet T. S. Eliot as inspiration Form + Motion presents selected works by contemporary British makers, exploring motion and movement in craft practice.
Spanning scale, discipline and material, these works bear witness to the dynamic and complex interplay between making and movement: Movement in making, of ideas, and, through both time and place.
The exhibition, designed by London-based creative studio Faculty, presents four curated spaces featuring teh following makers; Heike Bracklow, Adam Buick, Robert Dawson, David Gates and Helen Carnac, Seb Lester, Richard McVetis, Hugh Miller, Esna Su, Adi Toch (all selected by the Crafts Council), Lorna Fraser, Geoffrey Mann and Heather Woof (all selected by Craft Biennale Scotland) and Linda Brothwell (presented by Thirteen Ways) and a screening room, presenting 44 films which were selected by Crafts Council for Real to Reel 2017: The Craft Film Festival.
