Saturday 8 April: Enamel painting on porcelain - FULLY BOOKED
Decorating simple porcelain mugs and plates with on glaze enamel colours. The enamels are mixed with a water based medium and will be applied by brush using traditional methods and styles. This workshop will be guided by Erika Albrecht, a specialist in enamel painting.
Saturday 8 April: Decorating ceramics with underglaze colours - FULLY BOOKED
Decorate fired ceramic tiles and simple bowls using under glaze colour. You will have the chance to experiment with different ways of applying decoration and colour to ceramics. If you wish to get your hands on some clay, pinch pots are also welcome. This workshop will be guided by ceramist Kate Harris.
Sunday 9 April: Slip Casting porcelain and carving candle holders - FULLY BOOKED
Learn how to slip cast basic forms with porcelain slip using pre-prepared moulds. Also experiment with carving and piercing into porcelain slip cast objects to create a candle holder. We can fire the objects for you to take away.
Porcelain has beautiful translucent qualities so is nicely finished after one high temperature firing without having to use glaze. This workshop will be guided by Jo Woffinden and Cristina Vezzini.
Adults and young people aged 11+
There will be a charge of £10 each for the materials and firing costs.
