Earth Wheel & Fire 2018
This will be a day of all things clay with an opportunity to drop in to
- Have a free go at throwing a pot on one of six potters wheels (take a numbered ticket when you arrive) You can take your pot away on the day without charge or you can opt to pay £5 to have your pot twice fired and glazed by the potters for you to collect at a later date.
- There is free children's "Play Clay Area" with clay and tools (N.B. unsupervised)
- There will also be Raku and pit firing demonstrations by local potters and students.
- The Woodsetton Pot Shop will be open and there will be basic pottery materials for sale.
The pottery owner Lorraine, also keeps a notice board with details of pottery classes, pottery seminars and The Midlands Potters Association and the potters and students will be happy to answer any questions.
Refreshments available in return for a donation made towards Federation For The Blind.

A note from the Crafts Council - this event is drop-in. All Hey Clay! Venues are giving their expert time for free so please be patient if necessary and/or aware of others who may also be dying to get their mitts on some clay!
