The Cynthia Corbett Gallery is an international contemporary art gallery.
It launched The Young Masters Art Prize in 2009 and The Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize in 2014, celebrating artistic skill and innovation alongside awareness of the old masters and the art of the past. The fourth edition of these prizes take place in 2017.
Zemer Peled is acclaimed for her unconventional relation to porcelain, as well as her examinations of the beauty and brutality of the natural world. The works are formed of ceramic shards, made from sheets of clay, which are fired and then smashed into pieces with a hammer. In 2014, Peled was shortlisted for the Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize. She is currently visiting artist in residency at California State University (CSULB).
Cynthia Corbett Gallery has kindly donated work to the Crafts Council Benefit Auction.
