Every year, awards at Origin celebrate the best in contemporary craft. This year we are proud to announce the following awards which will be presented at the show.
Association of Contemporary Jewellery (ACJ) - Award for Jewellery
The Association for Contemporary Jewellery is delighted to celebrate and support the work of practising jewellers by awarding a prize for jewellery at Origin.
Contemporary jewellery has attracted a wealth of talent who are using a wonderful diversity of materials and techniques, ensuring that selecting a winner will be both demanding and inspiring.
In Britain there is a well-established enthusiasm for crafts and Origin has created the ideal environment to stimulate demand for well designed and beautifully made objects.
Of all the applied arts, jewellery is the most intimate, portable and immediately expressive. Although an individual jewel is diminutive, the status and popularity of contemporary jewellery is huge.

Crafts Magazine - Best Contribution to Show
Crafts Magazine is proud to announce it will be awarding two prizes at Origin - one in each week of the show.
The award will be given to the person, or company, that Crafts magazine feel has had the biggest impact on the show. This could be a collection of products, a stand design or an installation.
There will be a cash prize of £250 for a winner in each week, as well as the possibility of editorial coverage.
Crafts magazine is devoted to bringing you the best from the world of contemporary craft.

Evening Standard Homes & Property - Best Domestic Product Award
The Evening Standard Homes & Property continue their relationship with Origin: the London Craft Fair with the fourth year of the Homes & Property Award for Best Domestic Design. The award is given to a maximum of three makers in each week who bring a new product to Origin that demonstrates craftsmanship, innovation and design flair.

The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Award for Export
The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) award is presented to the exhibitor at Origin whose work shows innovation and creativity and is deemed appropriate for export. The award will be presented to a new exporter to visit the export market of their choice and is open only to exhibitors living and working in the UK.

Selvedge Excellence in Textiles Award
Selvedge Magazine aims to reinstate the individual, spotlighting artisan makers who produce work that demonstrates their unhurried devotion to quality. We are committed to contemporary craft and to providing a platform for textile designers and makers. The Selvedge Award will be presented to individuals who demonstrate superb practical skills, an individual aesthetic and a clear understanding of the end use of the textiles they craft. All three of these elements are crucial to modern textile designers and those that manage to combine them successfully deserve our recognition.
