Selling craft
Craft plays a valuable role in contemporary society by making an important contribution to our economy and our social and physical well being, while enhancing the value of cultural activities in the UK.
Contemporary craft is sold in a diverse range of locations and via a variety of businesses; which include shops and boutiques, galleries, craft fairs, heritage sites, museums, auctions and online.
What sets retailers of craft apart is their passion and enthusiasm for the work they sell, and the support this allows for the individuals who create the work.
In this section we look at opportunities for those selling craft and aim to develop the site to present information about practical and inspirational subjects to those who sell or who are thinking about selling contemporary craft.
The Crafts Council aims to support retailers of contemporary craft such as our series of Continuing Professional Development days below.
