Anne Forgan
2009

Anne Forgan has a background in media production, working as an independent film maker and moving into curating via programming events and film festivals. Whilst running a media facility within an art gallery and museum, she became interested in digital art and through research trips to international festivals such as Transmediale and Ars Electronica, developed knowledge of diverse digital art practices. She is particularly drawn to digital art works that offer tangible manifestations of computer processes or data flow; where virtual phenomena have a physical effect on the real world.

She has recently completed an MA in Contemporary Curatorial Practice at Birmingham City University, funded with an AHRC bursary. It was here she began to explore craft and the meaning of its slow and laborious production in a machine age.
