Craft: Who Cares?

Barney and Jeremy’s research considers whether craft is enjoying a critical global renaissance and explores the value of cultural objects. In an increasingly multicultural society, how is the value of an object communicated? The project will involve researching collections and makers. A range of personal experiences about objects and their making will be documented, possibly in collaboration with a film-maker, producing a database of views, perceptions and preconceptions about craft.
