Cynthia Cousens
Cynthia Cousens is a jeweller, and an academic researcher and lecturer at the University of Brighton.
Her academic research projects have focused on examining the nature of creativity and the methodologies employed in making craft and 3D artifacts through projects such as See What Happens! – the value of creative experimentation through materials.
She has exhibited and lectured world wide. Her jewellery is included in many public collections including the V&A, Crafts Council and National Museums of Scotland.

Frances Lord is a consultant and curator specialising in public art and commissioning.
Published material includes Artists’ profiles 2, June 2008, published by a-n The Artists Information Company. She co-curated ‘Jewellery is Life’ new work by Mah Rana and ‘Prickings’ new work by Catherine Bertola for Fabrica in Brighton.
Current projects include Combe Down Stone Mines Public Art programme: a programme of photography, film, sculpture, music, poetry and a play for Combe Down village, near Bath; applied arts news writer for a-n; applied arts mentor on the West Midlands ‘Future Forward 1’ scheme; and artistic assessor for Arts Council England.
In April 2008 she was invited to lecture on public art at the Meiji University, Tokyo as part of their Foreign Scholar Invitation Programme.
