Presenting work inspired by the natural world and life-cycle of plants
Plants, flowers and fruit have influenced the forms and patterning of these objects, as well as the selection of materials and the way they are made.
Throughout time, creative people have emulated, copied and captured living forms. All of these works have been made by UK makers in the last 40 years and are selected from the Crafts Council Collection.
The exhibition includes leading UK glassmakers Angela Jarman and Neil Wilkin, textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood, designer Tord Boontje, silversmiths David Clarke, Junko Mori and Lin Cheung, and ceramicists Felicity Aylieff, Mary Rogers and Richard Slee.
