Trusts and Foundations provide vital support for our work.
Whether your interest lies in nurturing artistic talent, encouraging innovation or bringing craft and the joy of making to as wide an audience as possible through education and exhibition programmes for schools, young people and the wider public we would love to talk to you about working together to meet our mutual aims.
Programmes that have recently benefitted from the support of Trusts and Foundations include:
Firing Up, our national programme to reawaken school kilns across the UK and introduce children to the joys of working with clay, with the support of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
Hothouse, a programme of tailored business and peer support for makers of all ages who have set up their practice within the past two years.
Make:Shift:Do, a programme of hands-on making activities in maker spaces, hack spaces and FabLabs across the UK for young people, including digital making techniques such as arduino, laser-cutting and 3D printing.
Build Your Own, a major Crafts Council exhibition developed in partnership with FACT, Liverpool and Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery, exploring the connections between making, technology and community.
