Paris American Academy & World Shibori Network present the 7th International Shibori Symposium, a multicity event celebrating shibori’s dynamic connections across the world – bridging cultures, languages, and nature across time.

Peter Carman, President and Executive Director of the Paris American Academy, and Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada, President of the World Shibori Network-World, have combined their expertise in textiles and group abroad French study & travel to create a specially designed, thoughtfully planned itinerary made expressly for the ISS participant in mind.

Symposium plenary sessions in Paris will be held on the new grounds of the Musée du quai Branly, located in the heart of Paris’ museum land and designed by renowned architect Jean Nouvel. Plenary sessions in Lyon will be held on the modern campus of the Université Lumière Lyon 2.
