The Crafts Council are proud to be in partnership with the Pump House Gallery, Battersea, to showcase a group exhibition exploring how mathematical concepts underpin craft techniques and artistic development. ‘Beauty is the First Test’ will draw together existing and new artworks to invite in-depth consideration of contemporary craft practice in this wider context.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of Craft Club events including volunteer training days and Craft Club sessions. These sessions will showcase some new Crafts Council activity and resource material that will focus on cross curricular and mathematical learning through contemporary craft techniques.
