The Design Museum is marking new territory through hosting a jewellery exhibition later in the year. ‘Unexpected Pleasures – the Art and Design of Contemporary Jewellery’ opens 5 December 2012.
This exhibition offers the promise of a fresh approach towards showing contemporary jewellery in a museum context. As part of the Design Museum’s commitment to generating debate around current design issues Nina Due, its Head of Exhibitions, will participate in a discussion to guage evolving practice and changing attitudes in this field. Joining the panel will be course leader of BA Jewellery at Central Saint Martins, Caroline Broadhead, and also, Felix Flury, jewellery maker and gallerist of Gallery SO.
