The day will be presented by Mel Larsen. Mels 20 year career in the arts includes; arts administration and marketing before joining ‘A.R.T.S.’ consultancy firm where she conducted feasibility research on several audience development agencies and major new building projects. For the last 11 years she has worked on a consultancy basis, specialising in marketing, research and training. Mel has been involved in numerous arts projects, marketing major exhibitions, conducting audience research and providing staff training and also wrote ‘A Guide to working with Arts Ambassadors’ published by the Arts Council England. Marketing Planning – The Basics

Want to make the job of attracting and keeping customers easier? Come and refresh your thinking about your customers by exploring key areas of marketing strategy including; – Market segmentation – identifying and grouping your core customers – Brand and Competition – understanding how your customers perceive you – Benefits and Value – communicating that you can provide what the customer wants
The workshop will include enjoyable practical exercises so you can apply the theory to your own situation. The workshop is suitable for beginners and for more experienced marketeers who want to review their approach.
