Learn/ CPD for Retailers - Visual Merchandising/ 14 April 2010

General Information

The day will be presented by Ian Herdman, visual merchandiser

Ian completed a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art at Brighton, then moved to London to begin his career in display and promotions. In 1981 Ian moved to Milan, Italy to work in display, props and exhibition stand design, he built up a clientele in the retail sector and part owned a shop, working on projects for the Fiera di Milano. Returning to London, he began working for the Design Council as one of the main exhibition designers for both permanent and touring projects for the next eight years. Since then he has worked on a broad spectrum of projects for various companies in both the business and retail markets including the National Portrait Gallery, Burghley House, Brighton Pavilion, Mathmos Ltd, Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge and St Paul’s Cathedral.
