Continuing Professional Development for Retailers 2010 – Inspirational & Functional Visual Merchandising

The day begins with a morning visit to a selection of inspirational retail venues where you can see and discuss how other retailers are displaying merchandise, highlighting imaginative and challenging visual merchandising examples.

- Returning to the Crafts Council for lunch and the afternoon session, you will focus on the basic tools and rules of visual merchandising and how to make the most of what you have as well as the challenges and advantages of working with handmade objects.

- Following an overview of the basic theory a hands-on demo and workshop session with open discussion. Here you are given the opportunity to bring your individual display problems, by presenting photo’s of your space and type of work, you can share ideas and put what you have learned into practice.
