Curating, Craft & New Technologies
An increased number of makers, designers and artists are exploring digital and new technologies in their practice, with exciting outcomes. For the curator these new developments present challenges; such as how do we collect these works, and how do we approach issues of display and interpretation?

Day 1 featured a series of talks exploring the contemporary curatorial issues around displaying, interpreting and conserving digital and digitally produced works.

Day 2 featured a tour of Metropolitan Works, one of the UK’s largest Digital Manufacturing Centres. Two makers accompanied the tour, introducing how they use the facilities, and how this is shaping their studio practice today.
