Leading through Making

Time: Registration and a light lunch at 1pm – 6pm finish.

Join us for a CraftNet regional event in partnership with DMWM, bringing east and west midlands together. The occasion is hosted and funded by DMWM and supported by Deirdre Figueiredo, Director of Craftspace and Kate Stoddart, Independent Curator.

All craft sector professionals are welcome, for example from, universities, galleries, museums, craft/art organisations, independent curators, maker groups and individual practising designer makers.

Leading through Making will explore the potential of leading through practice and different ways of moving practice forward. Five speakers will be sharing their experiences of working on a variety of projects and how it has impacted on their work. The event provides an opportunity for Designer Maker West Midlands (DMWM) to disseminate the successful ‘Future Forward’ mentoring programme to an audience of craft professionals from the east and west midlands.

Read on in full description for more information on the day.
