CraftNet is an informal network of meetings, events and exchange to look at and share ways of developing and promoting contemporary craft. All are welcome – from commercial galleries to local authority museums, from organisations and trusts to individual makers, artists, curators and all those with an interest in craft.
Making Places: branding a craft town
How can contemporary craft contribute to the identity, community and economic impact of towns? A panel of speakers will address ways in which places have branded their identity and used cultural and creative content to define themselves as distinctive, attracting local support and incoming visitors.
Chair: Erica Steer, Chief Executive, Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
Speakers include:
Rosy Greenlees, Executive Director, Crafts Council
Peter Florence, The Festivals Of Literature Charitable Trust, and Founder, The Hay Festival
Sue Clifford, Founder, Common Ground
