This popular Art Trail now in its 8th year features artists all over the South Lakes area opening their studios to the public.

Green Door is a self-organised, not-for-profit organisation formed in 1995 by a collective of artists based in Kendal. It is committed to making contemporary art accessible to local residents and visitors.

The 8th Green Door Art Trail is taking place over the weekend of the 5 to 7 October 2012. More than 40 artists will be opening their studios to the public. It is an ideal opportunity to see an exciting variety of work in a wide range of media, to talk to the artists about their working practice and maybe to buy a piece of original art direct from the maker.
