Learn/ In Touch: Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Day/ 21 February 2013
Sleaford

General Information

The session is aimed at teachers, artist educators and arts organisations looking to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of contemporary craft and design, and how handling collections can be used as a tool to initiate creative enquiry and cross-curricular learning.

We’re launching the project with a Continuing Professional Development day on 21 February 2013.

Use object handling and making to explore a mix of practical ideas, concepts and methodologies supporting deeper learning through, and about contemporary craft and design.

Take part in an artist-led workshop, followed by a maker’s talk and open discussion.

Join the Crafts Council for an open discussion around object handling, practical management, participation and what this means for you.

See examples of good practice and develop your own learning resources.

Take part in a gallery tour by the exhibitions team at The National Centre for Craft & Design.
