See/ Lakes Collective of Artists & Designer Makers Summer Exhibition/ 16-17 June 2012
General Information
The Lakes Collective of Artists and Designer Makers was set up in the Lake District 18 months ago to enable local artists and craftspeople to access a wider audience. It is a non-profit making Collective where members band together to share the fee to hire small local venues and put on ‘roaming art galleries’ for a day to enable the public to have access to top quality art and artisan crafts and to meet the artists and makers in person. The ethos of the Lakes Collective is also to educate those who come in to our venues about the skills and techniques that go into the works of art on show, so we welcome people who take an interest by asking questions about our methods and materials.
We aim to have only the highest quality of artists and designer makers at our shows, and this June we are excited to be putting on our first ever full Exhibition at the Bishop Bulley Barn at Rydal Hall, Rydal, Cumbria LA22 9LX where the work of 25 of our members will be on display.
So do come along and see us at what we hope will become our annual signature event on Saturday 16th June between 10am and 9pm, or on Sunday 17th June between 10am and 5pm.
Admission is free and The Rydal Hall teashop, heritage gardens, and sculpture trail will also be open from 10am-5pm on both days.
Wordsworth’s House Rydal Mount is just across the road, as well as Rydal Water and numerous beautiful walks.
