Michael Brennand-Wood is internationally regarded as one of the most innovative and inspiring artists working in textiles. Examples of his work can be seen in major collections worldwide. He makes elaborate, eye-catching wall-hung pieces that are part sculpture, part textile. They are covered in an intriguing variety of materials including textiles, wood, flags, CDs and badges; and have elaborate visual patterns masking profound meanings. He has persistently worked within contested areas of textile practice, embroidery, pattern, lace and floral imagery. Forever Changes features many previously unseen, new and important works from the past 40 years. It is a visual biography of Brennand-Wood’s career to date.

Forever Changes is originated by Ruthin Craft Centre, curated by June Hill and now adapted to show at the Burton. It is accompanied by a fully illustrated publication.”
