Meaning many things to many people, the word craft evokes all kinds of received ideas. Unsurprisingly, this complexity makes it a lively and often controversial subject for debate.

The Origin Intervention presents work by nine artists who engage with contemporary craft and explore materials and the process of making in their practice. Co-curated by Crafts Council and Somerset House, these intriguing works will be located in the Origin Pavilion and within Somerset House.
