In a collaboration between the V&A and the Crafts Council and curated by Daniel Charny, new exhibition Power of Making celebrates the importance of making and skills in our lives.

Presenting a snapshot of contemporary making the exhibition includes a selection of 118 crafted objects from different walks of life, and invites audiences to be inspired while taking a closer look at their knowledge and attitudes to making. Rather than relying on traditional divisions between craft, art and design, this exhibition will instead focus on the power and universal nature of making and cultural production. Freed from the boundaries of disciplines, exemplary contemporary making will be highlighted for its ingenious and meticulous application of skills, knowledge and imagination.
