Learn/ Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Seminar/ 10 November 2008

General Information

Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing processes provide unparalleled freedom of design and can provide costs effective manufacturing of one off products, small batches and custom products. These attributes are providing the creative industries with opportunities to produce ever more intricate and complex designs, respond to the desire for individualisation and realise precise and high quality products.

This event will address the issues relating to the successful application of Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing in the creative industries featuring presentations from the following speakers:

Confirmed speakers: Lionel Dean, FutureFactories; Justin Marshall, University College Falmouth; Philip Delamore, London College of Fashion; Nick Grace, Royal College of Art; Ian Graham, Loughborough University; Roger Moss, National Centre for Product Design & Development Research; Tony Smith, Staffordshire University.

This event is organised by the Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing Association, hosted by the Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre and supported by the Crafts Council and EOS.

There will also be an opportunity to tour the JIIC rapid prototyping and manufacturing facilities.
