What happened

From puppets to porcelain – Spitting Image creator Roger Law talks to Front Row about his ceramics.  

Craftspace’s Made in the Middle at Herbet Gallery in Coventry, paperscissorsbook at Queen’s Hall Hexham, Sylvie Franquet: reMembering at Now Gallery and Lena Bergstrom at Vessel Gallery both in London all opened.  

The Arts Foundation Awards 2017 shortlists were announced and include Crafts Council Directory maker Marcin Rusak – up for Materials Innovation.

Our latest Studying Craft feature was on Further Education and includes Abigail Appleton on how the anvil-T-shirt-wearing student blacksmiths stand out from the crowd at Hereford College of Arts.

Wonder wall - dezeen feature a house renovation by Neil Dusheiko complete with beautiful wall display for a ceramics collection  One day… one day.

Our Directory Maker of the Week is Amanda Anderson whose work is currently on show at the Chapel Gallery in Lancashire. We talk to Amanda about her work here

What to look forward to

We can’t wait for this – BBC’s Big Life Fix with Simon Reeve and Crafts Council Trustee Zoe Laughlin starts next week. CCHQ is bound to cry.
