How can we support young creatives and students during the COVID-19 outbreak?

A Slack workspace where professionals working with young people can crowdsource advice

How does it work?
In the workspace, members can post requests from their young people in the relevant section, and other members can post responses or offers for help in response. Members then pass the advice back to their young people.
Additionally, this is a space to signpost to resources, freelance job opportunities, competitions and digital meet-ups that might be happening and of interest to other young people. you might be working with.

Who should join?
If you are working with young people who are struggling to finish their studies, or who are self-employed and looking for income then we hope this will be a helpful resource to work with other professionals to provide remote support for them. Additionally, if you are a professional in a sector where you are able to support young people, you can also post offers of help here, for example:

  • Are you able to offer portfolio reviews or tutorials?
  • Are you able to offer advice on professional development?
  • Are you able to offer online career development opportunities?
  • Are you able to offer advice for freelancers or self-employed young people?

Join the workspace by emailing r_mitchell@craftscouncil.org.uk and you will receive a reply with a link to sign up.
