We have searched far and wide to find some of the most interesting and hidden craft makers in the UK. From footwear designers to craftivists and more; we will take you behind the scenes to experience a day in their lives as part of our new series What’s Your Craft.

Today we launch Episode 3 with Downton Abbey Costume Designer Susannah Buxton who has worked on productions like As You Like It (2006), Tipping the Velvet, Downton Abbey and Poldark.  Susannah has been nominated for several awards and has won an Emmy Award for her costumes in Downton Abbey.

She has said that details are very important in designing costumes as they give the overall look and information about the characters to the viewers. The costumes help to set the scene and capture the drama of the situation.

In this short film Susannah tells us about how she got started in the industry, why she has such a passion for it and where she see the future of the industry.
