Arts St George’s (part of St George’s Hospital Charity) provides opportunities for patients, families, staff and the wider community to engage in creative activities and enjoy cultural experiences, helping improve the experience of being in hospital.
We do this by working collaboratively with experienced artists, cultural organisations and our healthcare colleagues at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in South West London, to offer a range of opportunities including creative workshops, live music, theatre performances, temporary exhibitions, permanent displays of our art collection and much more.
We are recruiting for three exceptional creatives to fulfil the freelance brief for a ‘Resident Artist’. Working between March-July 2022 (with the potential for extension) the Resident Artists will facilitate creative activities on site at our hospitals and community settings with patients, their families and staff. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced artists who wish to develop their participatory arts practise within a healthcare setting.
The chosen artists will be from a range of disciplines- from performing arts (music, theatre, dance, poetry) to visual art and will work on a schedule of roughly 1 day delivery per week. For payment details, please click on the link.
