Free online talk: selling and showing craft overseas

Description

Join the Crafts Council's Business Skills team online on Monday 20 June from 12.30-2pm for a free webinar. The online talk will boost your confidence and knowledge of international trade.

This 90-minute workshop is ideal for both new exporters and those who want to regain confidence and brush up on their knowledge. Using the Crafts Council's International Toolkit, you'll build a plan of action to help your business thrive overseas.

You'll also have the chance to ask questions about key topics, such as; importing and exporting, customs paperwork, networking, and events.

The session will include:

  • An introduction to selling and showcasing overseas
  • Different routes to market
  • An overview of the free resources available in our International Toolkit and how to use them
  • Barriers to exporting and how to overcome them
  • Guidance on how to optimise your craft business operations for international success
  • Jargon busting!
  • An overview of required investment

About Caroline Jackman

The session will be led by Caroline Jackman, Head of Craft Business Skills at the Crafts Council.
Caroline has over 20 years of experience working in the arts and working to support the business and creative development of artists and makers from amateurs to established professionals. She has successfully run galleries, community festivals, national conferences, and international and domestic business skills training programmes.
