- The Cockpit Arts / Leathersellers’ Award
The three-year Cockpit Arts / Leathersellers’ Award 2022 is generously sponsored by The Leathersellers’ Company Charitable Fund.
The Award is open for applications from talented makers who are seeking business development support to take their creative business to the next level and the winners will be required to develop new work where leather is a major constituent.
This Award is for three years, each year provides further financial support on a sliding scale.
The Award comprises business support and subsidised studio space at Cockpit Arts in Deptford, including the use of our Leather Hub provided as support from The Worshipful Company of Leathersellers.
Equipment includes a Hot Foil Machine, Manual Leather Splitter, Leather Skiver, Clicking Press, Edge Polisher and Guillotine.
2. The Cockpit Arts Rosalind Stracey Ceramic Award
This Award is for a ceramicist who has a strong desire to experiment and take risks with their practice. We are looking for makers who demonstrate originality, innovation, creativity, craft skill and quality in the work and concepts presented.
The Award comprises one year’s business support and subsidised studio space at Cockpit Arts in Deptford, including the use of a kiln provided as support from Rohde kilns.
