King Houndekpinkou, Bruised Skin, 2020, Glazed ceramic

50 Golborne supports emerging contemporary art projects. The gallery focuses on those that examine the dynamic, significant role that the African continent and its diaspora have in a fast-changing global world. It also has an interest in investigating the convergence between art, design, and making.

Since its creation in 2015, the gallery has introduced a number of new artists to the market, placing their works in private collections and institutions such as The Art Institute of Chicago; Brooklyn Museum and MAD Museum in New York; Palais de Tokyo; Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; Victoria and Albert Museum and Drawing Room in London; Manchester Museum of Art, and more.

Artists

  • Sanaa Gateja (textile, upscaled materials)
  • King Houndekpinkou (sculpture, ceramic)
