Join us for the launch of the Autumn/Winter 2024 issue of Crafts at the Whitworth in Manchester next month – with a conversation with Turner prize nominee Delaine Le Bas, who is interviewed in upcoming edition.
Le Bas addresses nationhood, land, belonging and gender across diverse media including embroidery, painting, decoupage, sculpture, installations and performance. On Friday, 18 October at 6pm she will speak to Crafts members and other guests about her life and work – following the launch of her Turner Prize exhibition at Tate Britain and ahead of the announcement of the winner in December.
Crafts will also be celebrating the launch of the new Autumn/Winter edition, you’ll be joining a true gathering of the craft community, bringing together the Whitworth's wider team and friends, some of this edition’s contributors, featured makers, Crafts members and others who are passionate about craft.
This in person event will take place at the Whitworth in Manchester on Friday 18th October from 18:00-21:00. A recording of the talk will be available on the Crafts Membership Community page for members to enjoy after the event.
