As a mother and a designer, I wanted to make things that have a positive impact on future generations. Growing up in Finland, I saw materials being used and used again, in the hands of my grandparents. Graduating as a knitwear designer, meant I had to look beyond the obvious. My knitted textiles are inspired by early childhood theorists Montessori, Froebel and Reggio Emilia, and promote lifelong skills. I hope to ignite conversation on craft and the beauty of clothes making in young children.
