Catherine initially trained as an engineer in the eighties before changing to a career in arts administration. However, her enthusiasm for science combined with the arts has led her back to the craft of jewellery making. Her work has focussed on fin-de-siecle Vienna, drawing inspiration from the work of the Wiener Werkstätte and the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Natural forms also inspire her, producing pieces impressed with leaf textures, set with dewdrops of rainbow moonstones and aquamarines.

I will be taking part in MADE programme, at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It runs until 26th September 2021 and showcases the work of established and up-and-coming artists, designers and makers.

Lakes Dales Moors Art at the Bath House RHS Harlow Carr

5 August - 7th September 2021

Lakes Dales Moors Art has work by makers and artists inspired by their natural surroundings from the Yorkshire Moors to the Lakes. It's free to look round the Bath House, but you will need to buy a ticket for the gardens to access it. At the moment all tickets to RHS Harlow Carr must be pre-booked.

Art in the Pen, Skipton Auction Mart

Now in its 15th year, Art in the Pen is a well established and highly regarded art and craft fair that runs each year in Skipton Auction Mart. Tickets must be pre-booked.
