Raw, cool designs featuring pure Tin; a heritage material with timeless, classic appeal. Artisan craftsmanship and modern thinking combine the mineral qualities of Copper, Mica, Iron, Pyrite, Tourmaline, Silver and Tin, in a palette of earthy tones. My “Material Landscape Jewels” and "TinScruffs" feature mineral-metal layers, encapsulated compositions and processes of the undulating, scarred mining landscape which inspired them; the beautiful borderlands of the Tamar Valley.

Pure tin sparkles richly from this dramatic statement piece, inspired by the encrusted archways of the Victorian roasting ovens at Devon Great Consols in the beautiful Cornwall borderlands of the Tamar Valley.
Mineral and metal layers are suspended in a miniature version of the undulating and scarred mining landscape which inspired it. Pure tin, iron, copper and mica (the geologic materials of this landscape), combine with chalk in a resin composition which has been achieved through processes which were once applied to the landscape, duplicated to create the 'jewel'.
An explosion of minerals in crystal form. Pure Tin, copper, iron, mica, chalk, resin.
