I began my career in the 1980s making large sculptural pieces in acrylic. The work I currently make is the result of my experiments with very thin sheet silver - the manipulation of it, fixing it to shape with the minimum of intervention. It is the distillation of many ideas and influences. Crumpled, creased and rolled paper; ancient and ethnic jewellery; found objects such as stones, shells and bones.
