Crafts CouncilDirectoryJulie Vernon Mosaics

Public art David Wilson Homes

Public art commissioned by David Wilson Homes for their Queniborough development in Leicestershire. Following a public consultation I created a mosaic millstone wheel sculpture on a natural stone plinth. Sections of the stone were carved and I ran the glass mosaic design down the plinth and across a series of 5 large stone boulders. These boulders with mosaic detail frame the pathway leading through the estate. The inner circle of the millstone frames a view of the church steeple in the distance
