Chiltern Firehouse Lampshades
Commissioned by London lighting specialists via Studio KO, two large lampshades were required for the Chiltern Firehouse Hotel "Ladder shed" bar. Kim proposed a bell shape as a symbol to depict the Fire Station history of the Victorian building. The weaving would include flashes of red to represent the appliances and blue as recognition of the siren lights. The combination of red, white and blue combined with a band of open star weave could also represent the nationality of the owner.
