Deconstruction Reconstruction

About this project

Visits to old abandoned buildings is what sparked the initial ideas for this project. Paying particular attention to the peeling paint surfaces, and the idea that layers of the building were falling away to reveal all of the past stories and lives it has lived through. You enter such spectacular buildings and almost feel consumed by them, you have to know more about the grand space you are stood in. Structured decay was the aesthetic I was hoping to achieve using experimental weld techniques.
