weaving, dying, knotting

£175 — £850

I have been weaving for over 25 years and studied at Central Saint Martins.

Most recently I have been making weavings that respond to a place, either for commission or through self generated projects. I weave delicate and textured fabrics and dye the yarn myself, experimenting with different dye techniques and using both plant and chemical dyes.

I make a variety of fabrics from pieces for exhibition, to more functional pieces such as scarves and throws.

I will be showing some new work at this group show at Contemporary Applied Arts made after walks in the Thames estuary from Tilbury out towards the sea. This is a landscape of big skies, flat marshland and shifting light and colour.

Earlier this year I was made a member of CAA and currently have some work in their Christmas show.
