About this project

‘GRID IV’ is a low sideboard that measures w:1980mm x d:430mm x h: 663mm. It is a collaboration between myself (overall design and marquetry doors) and cabinet-maker Chris Tribe (construction). It is constructed in solid American Maple with four push-to-open doors featuring a hand-cut marquetry design. The veneers used in the marquetry are maple, dyed pama, birch and tulip and ‘reconstructed’ wood veneers. The doors are edged in ebony and hinged with Brusso pivot hinges.
