Traces of Time

About this project

A body of work made as a result of a trip to New Mexico with a specific focus on the Acoma Pueblo, its location, structures and history.  The works are abstract, quiet and reductive. The use of raw earth pigments enabled me to connect directly with the texture and colour of the environment, whilst stitch provides the small details to be found in an apparently desolate place.
