About this project

Recently fairy tales have played a significant role in my new pieces, which are the result of a Fellowship with the National Glass Centre in Sunderland.
My new work explores a mixture of fairy tales and feminism. I have cast my left hand in glass as it symbolizes our unconscious mind and our emotions. Hands are used to express one’s self in a way that words often cannot. The deer is made from lamp worked glass and has engraved detail on its back including polished spots that reflect the light.
