About

Francisca’s work embraces an impulsive approach to silversmithing, borrowing from the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. Her making process intentionally creates and accepts “imperfections” in silversmithing, using techniques that incorporate hammered and textile mark making. Patterned surfaces are layered with marks of a bruised anthropomorphic nature. These anthropomorphic figures are then reflected in the form of precarious vessels and other objects.
