Emulated Flora

About this project

This project was commissioned by David and Jane Walentas for 70 Washington Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY. It is 90 pieces of Laser cut acrylic and mirrored stainless steel. Reflections complete and multiply the sensuous forms, expanding and doubling the crispy delineated floral shapes, creating a lush bouquet overhead and making the space seem limitless.
Shifts in sizes of blossoms along with occasional floral shapes made of mirrors enhance the radiant light catching edges of the acrylic.
